Home Refurbishment Project in Caurel, Côtes d’Armor
The clients architect asked Breton Build to carry out a complete refurbishment of the interior of the property.
Work Carried Out
This project was started in March 2016, once the roof was replaced. All the internal flooring, walls and ceilings had been damaged by the leaking roof so they all had to be removed. We managed to save the staircase and only had to replace a few of the damaged treads. All the original boarding to the stairs had to be removed due to water damage.
After the flooring to the building at the rear had been lowered, a new floor was laid with insulation under the concrete. New tongue and grooved softwood flooring was laid on all floors and the walls of the stairs were build out of the same wood. The internal walls were constructed using metal rails, insulation and plaster boards. The property was rewired and all the original plumbing was replaced.
The top floor became a large bedroom with en-suite shower, WC and wash hand basin. The middle floor had two large double bedrooms with a family bathroom. The ground floor has a large double bedroom with en-suite shower WC and wash hand basin, a lounge and a large kitchen diner to the rear, with a utility room and WC.
Location: Caurel, Côtes d’Armor (22)
We finished the project 1st August 2016.
